Every family has a story…
Family and Couple Counselling
Relationships are rewarding, but very complicated. Building strong relationships with your family and partner is not easy, and every family experiences a crisis or has concerns at one time or another. Seeking professional support is a big step towards improving the relationship and establishing a willingness to overcome its difficulties.
A family is a system in which every member is a small part of a larger whole. Problems that affect one part of the unit can significantly affect the whole, and families benefit greatly from having everyone’s perspective shared during a counselling session.
Family therapy may still involve individual family members attending appointments on their own, but the focus remains on the broader context of the presenting issue.
Listed below are some of the issues families bring to counselling:
Repeated arguments over the same issues
Feeling of not being heard/understood
Family conflicts and arguments
Emotional distance, lack of affection
Lack of trust/loss of trust
Communication issue
Extended family and blended family issues
Thoughts about separation or divorce
Disagreements over children or parenting styles
Different interests and values
Emotional unavailability, lack of empathy
Feeling criticised by other family members

Online Therapy: Video or audio sessions are available for your convenience. These are suited for those who feel more comfortable opening up and talking through the online channel or are located remotely. Online counselling provides full support and confidentiality with the flexibility of your preferred time and location.
Home-Based Therapy: These sessions take place in your home, where you feel most comfortable, safe and relaxed. This can also be helpful when there are difficulties getting to a private practice due to medical issues, personal crises or responsibilities at work and home.
In-Office Session: Traditional in-office therapy provides you with a safe space and secure environment where you can rest your thoughts and unload feelings. These face-to-face appointments take place in a private room at a convenient location. Unfortunately, the office is under renovation at the moment and the schedule will be announced shortly.
